Leads Funcionatility: Streamline Your Outreach with Bulk Contact Uploads
We are thrilled to announce a powerful new feature in PitchDB: the “Leads” tab. This innovative addition allows you to upload multiple contacts in bulk, seamlessly integrating with our app’s robust CRM functionalities. Whether you’re reaching out to organizers, journalists, or association members not yet in our extensive database, this feature is designed to simplify and optimize your outreach process.
Why Use the “Leads” Tab?
Managing contacts and pitches through spreadsheets can be cumbersome and inefficient. With the “Leads” tab, you can take full advantage of PitchDB’s capabilities, including CRM management, pitch tracking, status updates, and the Writer AI for sending emails. Keep your contacts organized and accessible without the hassle of traditional spreadsheets.
How to Use the “Leads” Tab?
Follow these simple steps to make the most of the new “Leads” feature:
1. Log in to Your PitchDB Account
- Begin by logging into your PitchDB account.
2. Access the “Leads” Tab
- On the side menu, click on the “Leads” tab to open the new feature.
3. Upload Your Leads
- Click the “Upload Leads” purple button at the top of the page.
4. Select Contact Category
- Choose the contact category from the options: Media, Conference, or Associations.
5. Select and Upload Your CSV File
- Click on “Select CSV” to upload your contact file. Ensure your spreadsheet is saved in a CSV (comma-separated values) format.
6. Process and Classify Your Contacts Information
- Once your file is processed, PitchDB will automatically analyze and classify your contacts’ information.
- The “Column name” will display the headers from your file, while the “Select type” column lets you categorize each header: First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Event Name, Description, Event Website, Company Name, Event Date, Phone Number, Job Title, Industry, City, State, Country. And “Samples” shows the content of each column of your sheet.
- If any column doesn’t match these fields or isn’t needed, select “Do not import.”
- Sometimes our system can’t classify the kind of information contained in a column, so it will automatically place it as “Do No Import”. In that case, make sure to select the field that matches the contact information contained in your sheet. For example, if a sheet has a column called “next_event_name”, and the system classifies it as “Do not import”, the type “Event Name” will match this field.
7. Share with Team Members
- Optionally, share the uploaded data with your team members for collaborative efforts.
8. Finalize the Upload
- Click on “Upload Leads” to complete the process.
9. Access Your Contacts
- Your uploaded contacts are now accessible anytime under the “Leads” tab in the side menu.
10. Send a Pitch
- If you want to send a pitch to a contact, click on “add to a list” in the square where their information is displayed.
- Select the category where you want to save the contact and add it to the list.
- Then, you can click on the “Pitch” button and utilize all our tools to craft an incredible pitch using Writer AI.
